In January 1983, a Welsh farmer named Irwel Evans discovered scattered heaps of metal across his family farm, covering an area as large as three football fields.
This incident became known as the “Welsh Roswell” as it drew similarities to the infamous UFO crash in New Mexico in 1947. Adding to the mystery, the tops of trees in a nearby forest were found to have been severed, suggesting some impact.
Evans reported the discovery to the police, who alerted the Royal Air Force (RAF) and the British Ministry of Defense (MoD). Soon after, enigmatic Men in Black arrived in the Welsh town to collect the remnants of the object. They quickly searched the land and surrounding forests and took away the discovered fragments. Despite the operation that transpired that night, no official explanation was given for the occurrence, and no records were kept.
