An American Airlines pilot claimed he saw a UFO while flying from Boston to Pennsylvania.

Audio of the unnamed pilot’s report emerged during a commercial night flight as the captain contacted air traffic control. “You’re going to think I’m crazy,” the pilot can be heard saying, before describing the mysterious UFO that reportedly had bizarre “bright orange” lights not usually seen on an aeroplane.

“There’s something that went from right to left, to right again in a blink and then flashed his lights three or four times, then vanished,” he said. “This thing went 180 degrees in about a second.”

“Oh goodness,” was all the air traffic controller said in response. Later on in the clip a second pilot from what appears to be the same plane backs up the first’s chilling claims.

“Well it literally went from one coast to the other in front of us and then it went up like 30 degrees,” the second pilot said. “It looked like it was a bright orangey [sic] thing and since we spoke to you last it’s flashed us three or four times.

“Looks like it’s coming towards us. It is definitely not an aeroplane. It doesn’t have the strobe lights or anything like that, just that bright orange flashing on and off.”

When posted to YouTube, the clip drew a mixed reception with people debating what exactly it was the pilots had claimed to have seen.

Aliens

“The pilots saw Trump,” wrote one user, possibly referring to the colour described by the airmen. “He definitely said he saw an orange blob,” another seemed to agree.

Others seemed to support the claims. “These pilots ain’t joking around,” wrote one user.

Daily Star has contacted Harrisburg International Airport – the flight’s destination – for comment.

This isn’t the first time a pilot has made a bold claim about a extra-terrestrial . Last year, former US Navy Lieutenant Ryan Graves said he was ‘buzzed’ by a “dark cube” inside a “clear sphere” almost daily while on training missions off the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt in 2015.

He was one of a number of pilots to give evidence to the US Government probe into 650 close encounters between military personnel and UFOs.
