Brazilian Pilot Catches ‘Best UFO Footage Ever’

UFOs, or Unidentified Flying Objects, are basically things seen flying around that no one can immediately explain.

While lots of people jump straight to «aliens!» when they hear «UFO», the term really covers anything weird in the sky that we can’t figure out on the spot.

There have been official projects, like the U.S. Air Force’s Project Blue Book, trying to figure out what these UFOs are.

Nowadays, the U.S. government even has special groups checking out what they now call UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena).

Last year, Brazilian pilot Jorge Arteaga released a video of a supposed UFO that quickly went viral.

Arteaga claims he caught the video of a UFO while flying over Antioquia, Columbia.

In the video you can see what appears to be silver, disc-shaped object quickly flying past the plane that Arteaga is piloting.

Obviously, the video is quite a polarizing subject.

While the footage is being called «The Best Ever» captured of a UFO, others argue that whatever the object is isn’t even moving.

«It’s a balloon and it’s not even moving. It’s just an illusion from being in a vehicle (this case a plane) moving towards and then away from an object.»

Some say it’s simply a U.S. Navy drone.

Others commented saying it’s a Mylar balloon.

From indiatimes.com

«These balloons are made from a thin, flexible material called Mylar. They have a metallic coating that reflects light and gives the balloon a shiny appearance.

Often filled with helium, these balloons are the ones people use at their birthday parties to add a bit of sparkly and life to a room»

Although we aren’t certain what altitude Arteaga was flying at when he shot this video, helium-filled balloons typically pop at altitudes between 6,000 to 30,000 feet.
