A «jellyfish UFO» spotted flying over a US military base could be «paranormal«, according to a military expert.

A black-and-white clip showing the bizarre «spacecraft» went viral after it was posted to X (formerly Twitter) by extraterrestrial enthusiast Jeremy Corbell, the Daily Star previously reported. The footage showed a small round object with tentacles floating across the frame from right to left.

Corbell initially claimed the footage was taken in October 2018 at an American joint operations base in Iraq. «The object moved through a sensitive military installation – and eventually traversed over a body of water, where it actuated a controlled descent – submerging into the water.

Jellyfish UFO

The UFO is thought to have been spotted at a US military base in Iraq

«After an observational period of about seventeen minutes – the UAP reemerged from the body of water and shot-off at an extreme rate of speed – beyond the optical scope of the observation platform.»

However, a marine who was stationed at the base has since said the clip was actually taken towards the end of 2017. Michael Cincoski, who arrived at the base as an intelligence surveillance recognisance tactical controller in 2018 said he was shown the full video, adding his fellow troops didn’t know what to make of the clip.

Cincoski reckoned whatever the object was, it wasn’t there to do harm

«Our curiosity kind of goes there. Is this something extraterrestrial or paranormal or whatever you want to call it?» he told News Nation Now. «It crossed my mind because the theories we had didn’t fully explain it.»

Cincoski said the troops didn’t believe the UFO was a threat to them, so nobody at the base took action. «I think it was handled in the best way possible,» he added. «It ended up being the ghost story of the base.»

To this day, the origins of the sea creature-like flying object remain unknown. Corbell added in his post: «Official designation remains UAP (unidentified aerial phenomenon).»

Commenting on the clip, one user wrote: «Looks like something on the lens filter.» Meanwhile another chimed in: «Great Reddit thread how this could be a 4D object projecting in 3D space. Astonishing footage.»
