(Piedmont) U.F.O. enthusiasts and eclipse watchers will merge together in Piedmont for a big celebration April 5th through the 8th.

We spoke to Sara Phillips with the Piedmont Area Chamber of Commerce.

She says this area was overrun with U.F.O. sightings 51 years ago.

Last year, the community decided to finally embrace the old U.F.O. sightings by holding their first-ever U.F.O. festival.

We asked Phillips if she knew any details about those sightings back in ’73.

We asked Phillips if most of those U.F.O. sightings took place around Clearwater Lake.

The Piedmont U.F.O./Eclipse Fest will feature a U.F.O. parade, an alien abduction 5k dash and fun run, they will have expert U.F.O. speakers on hand, the Pine Hill Drive-In will be showing U.F.O. related movies, there’s live music, crafters, food trucks and so much more the weekend of April 5th through the 8th.
