The Pentagon gives with one hand, and takes with the other.

While releasing a whole load of UFO videos for the public to browse through, the department also categorically stated it doesn’t think any of them have alien origins.

The clips vary in length and show a number of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), more widely known as UFOs, whizzing across the screen in all different shapes and sizes.

The video are published on the Pentagon’s website for the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), created in 2022 as a way to ‘standardise collection and reporting’ of UAP sightings.

When thinking of a UAP, images of round discs with light come to mind, but according to AARO the most common typically reported UAP is spherical, which is similar to the first clip on the page.

However, AARO said this object is ‘likely a commercial aircraft and that the trailing cavitation is a sensor artefact resultant of video compression’.

Another video shows a UAP in 2021 from the point of view of a Navy fighter jet.

‘This video, captured by the pilot in the cockpit of a Navy fighter jet, demonstrates the typical speed at which military aircraft may approach an unknown object,’ AARO said.

The other videos include the famous ‘Tic Tac’ UAP captured in November 2004 by pilots aboard a US Navy fighter jet.

The smooth, white object flew at high speed over the water in ways which seemed to defy the laws of physics.

The videos come as the US reports it is not hiding alien technology or extraterrestrial beings from the public, after the Pentagon published its findings from an investigation from AARO.

The report said: ‘A consistent theme in popular culture involves a particularly persistent narrative that the [US government] … recovered several off-world spacecraft and extraterrestrial biological remains, that it operates a programme or programmes to reverse-engineer the recovered technology, and that it has conspired since the 1940s to keep this effort hidden from the United States Congress and the American public.

‘The proliferation of television programs, books, movies and the vast amount of internet and social media content … most likely has influenced the public conversation on this topic, and reinforced these beliefs within some sections of the population.’

It said that sensors and visual observations are imperfect and a lot of cases lack actionable data and such available data is limited or of poor quality.

This report’s release comes as AARO’s acting director, Timothy Phillips, revealed the US military is developing a UFO sensor and detection system called Gremlin.
