NEW DELHI: The report of findings submitted recently to Congress on Friday stated that there is ‘no evidence’ of the US government having any interactions with aliens.
The report also revealed the most sightings of UFOs or ‘
Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena
‘ (UAP) were actually ordinary objects.
However, officials acknowledged that the report would not dispel the popular belief in alien guests. The report underlined the influence of television programs, books, movies, internet, and social media content on public perception of UAP-related topics, which has reinforced these beliefs among certain sections of the population.
Pentagon
spokesperson, Maj Gen Pat Ryder, emphasised that despite approaching the report with an open mind, there was no evidence found to support the existence of extraterrestrial visitors. He further stated that thorough investigations concluded that the majority of sightings were simply misidentified ordinary objects and phenomena.
