The Universal Friendship Organisation (Sajjal Academy) celebrated its Foundation Day on Friday at its Central Head Quarter, Heipok, Imphal West district.
The event saw the participation of thousands of Universal Friendship Organisation (UFO) members from various parts of the State, said a release issued by UFO.
A simple feast and collection of annual members fee were the main highlights of the event.
Meanwhile, UFO Central Committee has extended its heartfelt gratitude to all the generous individuals/ clubs/ Meira Paibis who have provided humanitarian assistance to the volunteers of Nongpok Pana Tengol Lakpa Loishang of UFO.

To motivate the volunteers, Angtha Apunba Meira Paibi provided essential items including rice, dal, vegetables, etc on January 27 while members of EEC Club, Khurai Ahongei Thangjam Leikai; Thounaojam Nilamani and Irom Ishan from Etham distributed relief materials on January 26 .
It may be mentioned that Nongpok Pana Tengol Lakpa Loishang was inaugurated on January 5, 2024, at Itham Moirangpurel under the sponsorship of UFO to defend the eastern side of Manipur from the attacks of Kuki Narco Terrorists.
Besides, UFO has also elected 9 new office bearers to hold various posts at its branches.
The newly elected office bearers are- Nongmaithem Bijoy Meitei (Keishamthong branch), Laishram Modhuchandra Meitei (Nongren branch), Sarangthem Babudhon (Salungpham branch), Thounaojam Abungtomba Luwang (Charangpat), Aheibam Sanjit Meitei (Iroisemba branch), Dr Muktasana Meitei (Serou branch), Chingtham Laichanba Khuman (Chingtham Leikai branch), Pukhrambam Lamjingba (Chingtham Leikai branch) and Odyssey Mangang (Thangmeiband branch) .
