A bloke who formerly headed up the Pentagon’s alien-hunting team has admitted that most UFO sightings are actually just “secret military aircraft”.

Sean Kirkpatrick, the former director of the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, made the claim while talking to CNN’s Peter Bergen. He openly admitted that “none” of the sightings people are making are actually “extraterrestrial in nature”.

And in a comment that comes off far worse than he probably thinks it does, he went on to identify exactly what kind of special military tech – not made public before – people are actually seeing.

He said: “There are a lot of observations of real, advanced US programs – but none of that is extraterrestrial in nature. There are a number of advanced technologies that are being commercialized that people don’t recognize.

“There’s a large number of people, pilots, and others, who you know, have said, ‘Hey, I saw this giant sphere. It had a cube in it, I don’t understand it, it must be an alien.’ Well, actually, no’. The next generation of drones that are being built are spherical drones.

“With eight thrusters in a cube configuration, I can maneuver this drone around very accurately, and they’ve tried these all over the place.»

Mr Kirkpatrick caused controversy last year when he retired without warning days after claiming that sightings over the sky in the United States were actually either “aliens or technology of rival nations” – which is very different to his latest claim.

At the time, he explained: “If we don’t prove it’s aliens, then what we’re finding is evidence of other people doing stuff in our backyard. And that’s not good.»

Just days after making the comments, he announced his retirement – which came in December, 2023 – and claimed he would spend his days “wrapping up the first volume of a historical review of the unidentified anomalous phenomena issue”.
