UFO resembling the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars has experts confused

UFO experts say that the UFO depicted in this image, which looks like the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars, could indeed be from a far-flung galaxy. In the village of Brandon, northeast of Bishop Auckland, Co Durham in England in 2017, Christine Iskander noticed a bright object in the sky and decided to capture it in photo form on her iPhone.

From that date, UFO enthusiasts and experts have pored over the image, trying to figure out if it is indeed extraterrestrial in origin. “Although on the surface this photo doesn’t look like much, when it has been enlarged it almost looks like the Millennium Falcon spaceship from Star Wars, said Philip Mantle, who formerly headed the British UFO Research Association and who consulted with other alien experts in probing the supposed UFO encounter.

“Add to this the witness’ description you have to label this as a genuine UFO,» he said. Jason Gleaves, a former Royal Air Force and BAE Airbus division employee, also analyzed the picture. “Upon analysing the original image, it appears to have defined structure. “No known conventional aircraft can accelerate vertically from a standing hovering position without sound,» the aeronautical expert said.

Christine, 63, who encountered the UFO said she first assumed it was a helicopter. Upon further inspection, however, she said that the captured image was much different from what she could see with the naked eye. «It was blinding, looking at it directly. It looked like a very brilliant white star to the naked eye,» she said.

«I thought it may be a helicopter at first but there was no sound…Seconds after taking the photo the object shot straight up and then disappeared before I could get another photo. The picture shows something quite different to what my eyes saw.»

She said she was amazed to see a likeness of the Millennium Falcon when she enlarged the photo. The craft first appeared in the original Star Wars film in 1977 and also appeared in The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens, and The Last Jedi.
