The apparent UFO depicted in this viral video that was leaked last week «haunted» Marines for years, according to a former US Marine. Chilling footage of the unidentified anomalous phenomena, which was recorded over a military base in Iraq in 2018, was released by filmmaker Jeremy Corbell.

The strange aerial object looked to change color midflight, morphing from black to white to grey. The craft was said to have «legs» dangling beneath it, hence the description of it resembling a «jellyfish.»

And now a former Marine, Michael Cincoski, has come forward to say that the supposed UFO, which he and colleagues called the «Spaghetti monster» was spotted on several occasions near the military base. «It kind of just ended up being like the ghost story of the base,» he told NewsNation.

Cincoski’s revelations come amid a spate of UFO-related news. One Congressman has recently claimed there is a US governmental UFO cover-up. An extraterrestrial whistleblower, meanwhile, canceled his scheduled appearance on the popular Joe Rogan podcast amid security fears.

Cincoski said that he believed the craft wasn’t threatening, but despite this military personnel were tasked with keeping track of it. «It didn’t seem to be posturing to threaten us at all,» he said. «I believe some Marines were tasked to find it, and they kept an eye on it, but it wasn’t like we were scrambling to defensive positions.»

The ex-Marine was asked whether he felt the flying object was non-human in origin. In place of any other explanation, Cincoski said it is a possibility. «It crossed my mind, because the theories we had didn’t fully explain it.»

The released video only shows a portion of the original 17-minute run time, but Cincoski admitted that one of his colleagues, a fellow «team member», saw «multiple recordings» of the apparent UFO.

«It ended up being like the ghost story of the base,» the former Marine said. However, Cincoski refuted one of Corbell’s claims about the craft shooting out of the nearby Lake Hibernia at a 45-degree angle.

«There isn’t a whole lot in the rest of the video,» he admitted. «It seemingly continued into the distance and got smaller and smaller, whether that was because the sensor was zooming out or it was getting further away [I don’t know]. But at no point could you see it drop into the water and shoot off into the sky as there have been some claims.»
