The marine rejected hugely popular claims made about the final movements of the UFO
A MARINE has broken his silence on the sighting of an alleged UFO caught on camera in Iraq at a military base in 2018.
Earlier this week, Jeremy Corbell allegedly shared a clip of the footage that appeared to show an unidentified object that seemed to look like a jellyfish.
Michael Cincoski who worked as an intelligence surveillance recognizance tactical controller at the base in 2018 discussed the footage with News Nation.
Cincoski rejected claims that the footage was taken that year, instead telling the news outlet that the bizarre object was spotted in 2017.
According to Cincoski, when he arrived at the military base he was shown the mysterious footage and he and his fellow soldiers did not know how to react.
It became known as the «Jellyfish» and the «Spaghetti Monster.»

The marine admitted that the idea that it was not human did present itself to him.
«It crossed my mind because the theories we had didn’t fully explain it,» he said.
«Our curiosity kind of goes there. Is this something extraterrestrial or paranormal or whatever you want to call it?»
Cincoski explained that the footage was taken from an aerostat which is a large balloon with cameras attached to it to surveil the area and detect any threats.

He described what happens in other parts of the 17-minute video which was not fully released by Corbell and rejected claims that it disappeared into the lake before shooting out of it.
«Toward the end, it seemingly continued off into the distance,» Cincoski said.
«It got smaller and smaller. It got seemingly far enough away where they could not see it anymore — whether it dropped into the water or it just continued over the lake, because there is a lake next to the base we were at.
«At no point in the video can you see it drop into the lake or shoot into the sky like there have been some claims. That never happened.»
These claims were made by Corbell who alleged that it flew so fast out of the water that technology could not capture it.
Despite the unidentified object flying over the military base, it was not considered a threat, the marine explained.
«They kept an eye on it but it wasn’t like we were scrambling to our defensive positions or anything like that – it was just a big unknown,» he said.
«It didn’t seem to be posturing to threaten us at all so it wasn’t like we needed to take immediate action against it.
«I think it was handled in the best way possible. It ended up being the ghost story of the base.»
In the comments below the interview, some rejected the alien claims while others celebrated it.
«We now have a Marine intelligence officer making a public statement that this video is valid,» one person said.
«This should be a much bigger story.»
«I’m hoping for much more great footage. The last one is just spectacular,» another added.
Meanwhile, one person claiming to be a former soldier said: «I spent time at COP Aztec during 2017 and 2018, and I heard about this incident but never viewed the footage.
«No one I know really took it serious, and no one thought it was an alien.
«We were all under the impression that it was some sort of camera glitch or military gear being tested out.»

Others suggested that the object moved like a drone and that the odd shape was because it was in some kind of disguise or cover.
The U.S. Sun has contacted the Federal Aviation Administration and Corbell for comment.
