CLAYTON — Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library has launched a do-it-yourself UFO contest.
The library invites children, teens and adults to build a spaceship using cardboard, paper, plastic bottles and other recyclable materials. Spaceships may be no more than one foot cubed.
Register in the Children’s Room at the library, 100 S. Church St., Clayton.
Bring the finished product to the library no later than noon on Saturday, Jan. 20. The spaceships will go on display in the Young Adult Room, with voting taking place Jan. 22-29. The library will announce the winners on Jan. 31.
The contest is limited to 50 participants.
