Members of the House Oversight Committee of the US Congress are set to investigate the latest evidence pertaining to the presence of extraterrestrial life.
The closed-door meeting, scheduled for later today on January 4, will address «unidentified anomalous phenomena» commonly referred to as UFOs.
Former intelligence officer David Grusch has triggered this clandestine gathering after publicly claiming that the US Government possesses classified information about the recovery of biological evidence from at least 10 aliens found in crashed spacecraft on Earth.
Grusch, a US Air Force veteran and former member of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and National Reconnaissance Office, alleged that the government has engaged in reverse-engineering downed spacecraft as part of a covert effort to gain an advantage in the global arms race.
Shockingly, he asserted that individuals attempting to expose this secret had been «killed» by officials.

The exclusive briefing will be conducted by Thomas A. Monheim, the Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community. Attendees have been sworn to secrecy regarding the details of the briefing, raising speculation about the nature of the information to be disclosed.
Adding to the intrigue, renowned psychic Uri Geller recently claimed that an «alien mothership is lurking in the solar system and could be watching us».
Geller, who previously asserted that the CIA had shown him evidence of extraterrestrial life, expressed apparent excitement on Twitter over a photograph that he believed depicted a UFO. However, further investigation revealed that the image was, in fact, an edited street lamp.
Geller shared two photos on X (formerly Twitter), allegedly taken by an Israeli Lieutenant Colonel, initially believed to capture a floating ship in the skies of Israel.

He captioned it: «This photograph was taken by an Israeli Lieutenant Colonel who is a close friend, he was driving today by a sensitive installation in Southern Israel when he photographed this strange looking object simply hanging in the sky then he says it simply shot away!»
However, it turned out to be a misinterpretation, and the incident was later attributed to an edited image of a street lamp.
In a follow-up statement, Geller suggested that the incident might be related to an observation of a «time warp», leaving him somewhat embarassed after prematurely heralding the visit of extraterrestrial beings.
As the top-level briefing approaches, the anticipation and speculation surrounding the potential revelation of extraterrestrial evidence continues mount among the public and lawmakers alike.
