American ufologist Stanton Friedman moved to Fredericton in the early 1980s. He began his working life as a nuclear physicist but soon dedicated his time to scientifically proving the existence of UFOs. At one time, he was considered the leading authority on UFOs and alien abductions. He was the original civilian investigator on the Roswell UFO incident and has been called the Father of Roswell.
During his career, Friedman wrote many reports and books and appeared in hundreds of television and radio documentaries. He gave presentations to many professionals and even appeared at the United Nations to provide written testimony to Congressional hearings. The City of Fredericton celebrated Stanton and declared August 27 Stanton Friedman Day.
The Fredericton Region Museum now hosts a huge collection of his work from decades of research. Whether you are a believer or not, Stanton’s scientific investigations offer a fascinating glimpse into the world of UFO hunters.
