A man and his partner claim to have seen a mysterious green orb hovering over Reading.
Mr Jeremy Mellor, 62, who lives with his partner Alison Saedler, 48, on Sonning Common claims to have seen a UFO from his house on November 16 at 7 pm.
“We both physically saw it outside our front door,” he said. “It was a round green orb, and it was rotating in circular motions.
“I originally considered that it might be an aircraft, but It wasn’t making any noise like an airplane would, it was quiet as a mouse.”
He went on to say: “No one was having a party, so it couldn’t have been laser lights or anything like that.”
Mr Mellor said he exhausted every possible logical explanation for the mysterious flying object, so has concluded that it must be extraterrestrial.
“If you’ve gone through all the rational things of what it could be, and it’s been proved beyond a reasonable doubt, you’re left with this. It must be a UFO.”
Mr Mellor went on to say that he and his partner saw the alleged UFO for five minutes, and then it disappeared. “It was like it just faded away, one minute it was there and the next it wasn’t.”
The couple claim to have also experienced a similar event a few years prior where they believe to have seen multiple UFOs in the same area.
In 2021 Mr Mellor claims that he and Ms Saedler saw three groups of mysterious green orbs on Church Hill Crescent.
“It looked like three groups,” he said. “All just hovering there, and then they all just disappeared.”
In 2022, many people in Berkshire reported seeing mysterious things in the sky.
As previously reported, a strange blue glow was spotted moving in Woodley with aliens as the first theory offered up on social media.
It remains a mystery as to what the blue lights are – which are seen now and then over Reading.
Strange orange lights were also seen in the skies above Reading leaving residents ‘in awe’ back in January 2022.
The ‘mysterious’ beam turned the clouds orange and could be seen as far away as Wokingham at 5 am.
Onlookers speculated it could be UFOs or the Bat-Signal, but the most convincing suggestion was the light was caused by lamps used to grow grass at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
