An undisclosed customer has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Deutsche Aircraft (Oberpfaffenhofen) for four Do328-100eco new-generation regional turboprops.
The manufacturer did not reveal any further details, other than saying that the customer intended to use the Do328eco to replace its «ageing turboprop fleet».
The only revealed, albeit also non-binding, commitment for the Do328eco has come from Private Wings (JW, Berlin Brandenburg International), which aims to add five turboprops.
The Do328eco is a revamped and extended variant of the Do328-100 and will feature a brand-new integrated avionics, Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127XT-S engines certified to run exclusively on sustainable aviation fuels, and a new cabin design seating up to 43 passengers with more headroom than in the Do328-100. Flight testing is scheduled to begin in 2024 with a tentative service entry date set for 2026.
