If latest reports are to go by, a significant operational shift will likely take place in the current tourism season at Ranthambore. If implemented, it will impact the logistics of wildlife safaris. Reportedly, tourists seeking to indulge in the Ranthambore wildlife safari will no longer be offered hotel pick-up and drop services.
Instead, they will now be required to independently reach the specified boarding point designated by the forest department or the entry point of the forest.

To communicate and implement these changes effectively, the forest department has issued orders, which have been made accessible on the booking site for tourists’ reference.
Reports add that this adjustment will be brought into place in the wake of streamlining and improving the efficiency of tourism activities within the region. It is strongly advised that visitors acquaint themselves with these modifications to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience during their Ranthambore wildlife safari.
Among those most affected by this change will be the jeep drivers, who contend that the previous practice of picking up tourists directly from hotels was time-consuming. This often led to challenges for tourists in reaching the designated park exploration zone within the stipulated time frame.

As per the information available on the official Forest Department site, tourists are now granted a 15-minute grace period beyond the scheduled time for park exploration. However, it is crucial for tourists to communicate any delays to both their guide and vehicle driver.
In instances where a tourist fails to reach the specified location even after notifying the guide and driver of a delay, the tourism vehicle may proceed with the park exploration along with other punctual tourists, leaving the late comer behind. This policy has been instituted to ensure the seamless functioning of park visits and timely departures, ultimately contributing to an enhanced overall experience for all visitors.
