The Hudson Valley is historically known as a hotspot for unusual aircraft sightings and disturbing underground sounds
A STRING of UFO sightings at Hudson Valley in New York has concerned experts.
The Hudson Valley is a small town north of New York City. On December 31, 1982, several witnesses claimed they saw an unusual aircraft the size of a commercial jet and in the shape of a V. These sightings marked the first of many UFO sightings in the area.
«The Hudson Valley is your classic hotspot,» said Philip Imbrogno, co-author of Night Siege: The Hudson Valley UFO Sighting, to the History Channel.
UFOs appeared in the Hudson Valley several times from 1983 to 1986.
Thousands of witnesses said they saw a well-lit triangular object that noticeably flew very low over the community.
«They all reported something that they’ve never seen before,» Imbrogno said.

More than 9,000 reports were received by officials that described the same V-shape unusual aircraft.
The UFO was recorded as coming back nightly.
«What they saw was so convincing and so frightening to them, that they went on record,» Imbrogno said.
Imbrogno investigated the area for the Center of UFO Studies. He conducted interviews with hundreds of residents and saw the UFO himself.

This craft would come over the highways and project down a beam of white light, according to Imbrogno.
«Usually, UFO researchers don’t see the UFO that they’re investigating,» Imbrogno said.
He continued: «I saw this object three times, so it was amazing.»
The volume of reports during this time included sightings of the craft as well as peculiar sounds from below ground.
«People start to wonder why are these hotspots, hotspots?» said William Henry, an author and investigative mythologist, to History Channel.
According to Henry, these hotspots are entrances to underground caverns or secret bases.
Noticeably, the most famous sighting in the Hudson Valley also involved unusual sounds from below.
Author Whitley Strieber wrote about this experience in his book, Communion. He had been staying in a cabin on the western edge of the Hudson Valley.
He described being awoken in the middle of the night in December 1985 in a room full of yellow figures with big black eyes.

The figures said to Strieber: «What can we do to help you to stop screaming?»
Strieber described waking up the next morning disturbed.
