A grend old time
UFO Robot Grendizer is a classic sci-fi mecha anime that dates all the way back to the 1970s — and it’s being revived as an action game in the very near future. UFO Robot Grendizer: The Feast of the Wolves lands on PS5 and PS4 on the 14th November, and going by its first proper gameplay trailer, it just looks like a damn fun time.
In the original show, the titular Grendizer is used to protect Earth from an alien invasion, and so the game’s all about big robot battles. The official description provides an accurate overview: «Fight in epic battles through multiple gameplays: pilot the Spaizer, engage in vertical shoot-them-up in Kôji Kabuto’s TFO, and control Grendizer in third-person action combat. Use his iconic and devastating attacks to destroy the terrifying Saucer Beasts and save the Earth!»
