AMF and PixMob are bound to set the iconic Johan Cruijff ArenA alight during Amsterdam Dance Event 2023. The partnership marks PixMob’s first major move into dance music after taking the entertainment industry by storm.
Amsterdam Dance Event’s biggest show, AMF, just announced a huge addition to its already infamous production. In a dance music industry first, AMF will be partnering up with PixMob, the world’s leading wireless lighting technology company. Through the newly minted partnership, the Johan Cruijff ArenA will be set alight unlike ever before, transforming the audience into a digital display and opening up a huge spectrum of creative possibilities. AMF and PixMob have appointed internationally acclaimed creative director Timor Steffens as the show director. Steffens is known for his work with Madonna, Michael Jackson and Chris Brown.
PixMob’s technology has been used by a broad variety of entertainment industry elite, from sports events like the NFL’s Super Bowl to international pop stars such as The Weeknd, Bad Bunny and most notably Coldplay for their recent Music of the Spheres World Tour. With the use of PixMob’s wireless wristbands, combined with AMF and Steffen’s creative expertise, the tens of thousands of people in the audience will serve as the star of the show. In becoming an integral part of the show experience, fans will inevitably feel ever more connected to the music and the people around them, creating a strong sense of community.
For AMF’s 11th installment, the legendary event concept is embracing the future, with the inclusion of PixMob’s technology a testament to their vision. “As we enter the second decade of AMF, we’re all about embracing new technologies”, co-founder and CEO of ALDA, Allan Hardenberg said about the partnership. “Technologies like this allow us to go the extra mile in our production and set AMF apart from other events. We’re beyond excited to see that sea of lights light up the arena. We feel like we might be at the forefront of a redefining moment in the festival scene”.
“We couldn’t be more excited to team up with the legendary AMF,” Ysabel Vangrudenberg, Managing Director at PixMob Europe added. “Our easy to program, eco-friendly LED wristbands are the perfect gateway towards electrifying the night and connecting fans with their favorite DJs in a unique way.”
