Paranormal investigators demand US-style probe into Scots UFO sightings…

PARANORMAL investigators have demanded a public inquiry in Scotland into the existence of UFOs.

The alien enthusiasts believe any evidence of sightings should be made public and heard in front of a parliamentary committee.

Their calls follow a landmark panel in the US House of Representatives in July which heard tales of recovered alien bodies and wrecked spaceships.

And there are hopes a similar probe could shed light on decades of unexplained sightings across Scotland.

Bonnybridge councillor Billy Buchanan – who has fought for answers for the last 30 years – went to 10 Downing Street and the MoD to submit his demands by letter earlier today.

He said: “I’ve been asking for answers for years because there have been so many reported sightings, particularly in my area.

“The American situation has opened the door.

“After all these years, we want an opportunity for the government to release any information they have.

“We are putting a demand letter to bring it up in the House of Commons. But really it’s a global inquiry we require.”

Cllr Buchanan’s letters demanding answers over UFOs have been sent to every Prime Minister since 1992 but they all fell on “dead ears”.

In 1992, Bonnybridge, Stirlingshire, was thrust into the media spotlight following a series of mysterious sightings turning it into one of the world’s UFO hot spots.

Despite ridicule Cllr Buchanan has continued to demand an answer to the phenomenon.

His fight is backed by ufologist and author Malcolm Robinson.

He said: “The US have come clean, and openly declared that they have a UFO situation in their skies which they are actively trying to understand.”

Meanwhile, paranormal investigator Ron Halliday has called for an inquiry at the Scottish Parliament as a result of increased activity in the skies above Scotland.

We told how Glasgow has seen the most reports of unidentified flying objects, aliens or extraterrestrial activity.

Police Scotland documented 215 alerts in 2021 and 2022 — including 48 in the Greater Glasgow area.

Mr Halliday said: “Scotland is viewed as the UFO capital of the world with thousands of UFO reports over the last thirty years.

“So isn’t this something the Scottish Parliament should be looking into?”

“I feel the public here deserve answers.”
